thanks

Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving! I have been overcome with gratitude today… I am a pretty grateful person but today has been different.  I feel like everything slowed down and I was able to see the awesomeness around me.  I taught an amazing class this morning with so many beautiful souls flying to loud intense music.  Sweating on their day of thanks.  I trained a client who looked like a shining star when I walked in to begin.  She is losing weight, gaining confidence, pushing through her world to create the one she desires.  I am inspired by her dedication to herself.  I drove in my car, that I love, smooth, fast through the barely populated streets.  Past various gyms and fitness centers.  I realized how blessed we are to have so many choices of places to get gas for cars, food for our bellies, equipment to work out on, streets to drive on, sidewalks to walk along.

I am blessed for three furry animals that are in my care.  They love me without reservation which is more than I can say for myself with them.  They annoy me and I have to clean up after them and walk the little teeny itty bitty chihuahua, not how I want to spend my days… but they love me and just want to jump on my lap (all the damn time) and give me snuggles.  I am blessed to have as many vegetables and as much fruit as I can stuff into my stomach at any point during the day or night.  I stay up late which means I eat a LOT… more hours in the day to eat means more food.  I am blessed to receive Facebook messages, phone calls and text messages sending love and thanks.

I am thankful that I love TV and lack the desire to judge others for hating it :)  I enjoy my movies, TV shows and music videos.  I am blessed for my iPad with more crap on it than I can use but options are always grand.  I am blessed to be able to enjoy beauty and see it everywhere in just about everything.  I am blessed to be able to sit and listen to any song from anywhere at the push of a button.  I am blessed and grateful to love what I do everyday and to continue to get better at it.

I am thankful for forgiveness.  For forgiving others and others forgiving me.

Most of all I am thankful that I can and do share.  That I share me with you and that you receive me.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

What's Good???

Good morning! It is Tuesday!!  :)  Gratitude breeds more gratitude… isn't that awesome?   This only  takes a few moments to do but gives to you for much, much longer.  So put down whatever you are doing and take a couple of minutes for yourself.  Every Tuesday morning I am going to ask you to write down 5 things that you are grateful for and email them to me (keep for yourself as well).  What are you feeling gratitude around?  Here are mine for this week:

Tattoos.

Movies.

Fruit Smoothies.

Sleep.

Reading.

There are no right or wrong answers.  It is about what you are grateful for.   It is proven that doing this once a week for three months (actually just 9 weeks) makes you happier, healthier, exercise more and less sensitive to perceived slights.  You will sweat the small stuff less and focus on what really matters.

So… what are you waiting for???

Food for thought:

During this time of year we are reminded to give thanks.  Thanks for the people in our lives, for the stuff we have accumulated, for our health, our earth, for any and everything.  I think that it is fantastic that we have a season for gratitude, after all being grateful sometimes is better than being grateful no times :)  If you are thinking about giving back, saying thanks and sending love now, why not try to bring this to your daily practice of life.  See what shifts for you when you spend all year saying thanks, loving each other and spreading peace.

Happy Holiday To You :)

What things in your life annoy the crap out of you yet, if they were gone they would be sorely missed.  Always remember that the issues you have are probably not issues at all.  Choose where to put your attention.  Maybe you don't feel appreciated at work, maybe you feel like you are unlucky in love or maybe you feel like you go unnoticed in places you want to be seen.  If you decide to appreciate & love yourself and take everything that happens in your world as you being a lucky lass or lad you may see that these things multiply when we pay attention to them.  When you focus on a thing that thing expands.  What you internally see will externally be.

See love, feel love, be love.

Keep on keeping on.  Grow, Be, Do.  All that you are working towards now will come to fruition, just believe.

"Patience is waiting.  Not passively waiting.  That is laziness.  But to keep going when the going is hard and slow - that is patience."  ~Anon

What are you wanting to change in your world?  Where are you looking to go?  Set the idea fast in your mind.  See it.  Breathe it.  Believe it.  You must continue to work, to sweat, to act.  Hold onto the vision of your future, work hard in the present, and all that you dream will be yours.

Let Them Know

Howdy! I get some replies to emails/posts I send out and I read every one.  I am always open to suggestions on topics to write about and points of views to ponder.  I appreciate it all and want to make sure you knew.  I feel supported and loved even if I never know you read what I wrote, but when you let me know, the feeling is indescribable.  Recently I have been overwhelmed not only by the amount of love that I get from you, readers, friends, but also from the support I get from people who take my classes, ask me to coach them privately and organizations that feel I could in some way be an asset to their mission.  It seems that every day I am being thanked for doing what I am passionate about and there is nothing better than that.

When someone sends me gratitude I always feel honored and never really let it in too much, for some reason I have believed this to be a logical way of living.  I thought that being a bit detached from the love was a good idea…until Tuesday.  I received a reply to "What's Good" from someone where they wrote "For Aina's Writing."

Tuesday I was in a state of exhaustion that was rather intense (not enough sleep).  I was also feeling relaxed and open.  I then began reading my emails.  When I read the last one, and saw the last bullet I felt something in me open up.  I realized that I had just been pierced.  I didn't know there had been a barrier between me and feeling the love that was pouring out all of this time, but there was.  We all hear what we are ready to hear.  We can only receive what we are able to receive.  There are many times where someone feels criticized because they don't hear the compliments being given, not because they are being complimented, but because they have a block to hearing praise.  We focus on what we focus on.  There is a part of me that struggles with feeling deserving of being loved in various areas.  I have never wanted to let being loved go to my head, honestly.  How crazy is that?  When I felt the gratitude for me through that email, that idea of having a 'big head' around being loved was shattered into a billion little pieces.

Why wouldn't I want that to go to my head?  I want it to go to my heart, my cells, my DNA, my being.  I want love to be what I shower in, lotion up with and eat on a daily basis.  I want love to be what goes in and out of my mouth.  I want love to puff me up so I float instead of touch ground.  I have been pushing it away so I remain, what??? Closed off to receiving it?  My goodness what was I thinking?  When I read that last bullet, "Aina's Writing" I began to cry.  I cried because I felt it, finally.  I felt the gratitude that has been sent to me over and over and over.  I felt it from everyone that has ever told me that they appreciated me.  I feel it now.

Sometimes you have to keep letting someone know what they mean to you before it sinks in.  Sometimes you have to push your love up and all over someone with no expectation, only because it is true.  They will get it when they are ready. I did.

I want to thank you.  You.  You for loving me, for supporting me.  For telling me.  I wish I could tell you how much I appreciate you in a way where you could feel what I feel around it…  Until I figure that out I will just keep writing it, saying it, feeling it and sending it out to you.

Listening is the cornerstone to any yummy relationship.  Do you have a hard time listening?  Being heard?  How does that affect your relationship(s)?  How would you like to communicate more effectively?

"Any problem, big or small, within a family always seems to start with bad communication.  Someone isn't listening." ~Emma Thompson

"To effectively communicate, we must realize that we are all different in the way we perceive the world and use this understanding as a guide to our communication with others."  ~Anthony Robbins

Do you write down your goals? Have you tried? Do you dare?? :) See what happens when you put them down on paper like a "To Do" list instead of an "I want" list. You just might be surprised.

Food for thought!

Here is an exercise to help connect you strengthen your weakest link. Try it. You are your work. Learning about yourself is your first task.

Any difficulty we have encountered in life involves a weakness in body, mind or emotions. Recall one or more difficulties you have faced in your life. For each one consider whether that difficulty relates more to body, mind , or emotions. Do you notice a pattern? (Taken from Dan Millman's Book, No Ordinary Moments)

Have a fantastic day!!!
