What's Good???
Good Morning!!! Tuesday Gratitude Practice is here!!! How will you take what you are grateful for through the rest of your day? This isn't just about writing it down and sending it back… put it out there! Let the world feel your appreciation! Let's make a difference.
This only takes a few moments to do but gives to you for much, much longer. So put down whatever you are doing and take a couple of minutes for yourself. Every Tuesday morning I am going to ask you to write down 5 things that you are grateful for and email them to me (keep for yourself as well). What are you feeling gratitude around? Here are mine for this week:
Rearranging furniture. Dreams. My closet. Visits from friends. Woo. Coach Aina Body Camp - http://coachaina.com/body-camp/
There are no right or wrong answers. It is about what you are grateful for. It is proven that doing this once a week for three months (actually just 9 weeks) makes you happier, healthier, exercise more and less sensitive to perceived slights. You will sweat the small stuff less and focus on what really matters.
So… what are you waiting for???
Food for thought:
When you get tired of the drama it will end. When you decide you don't need the craziness in order to learn how, when, where, what and why you will be able to side-step the seemingly ridiculous that has been a part of your life up to that point. For most it takes the big stuff to pay attention to the small stuff. Someone has to die in order for us to appreciate those that are alive. Someone has to get sick in order for health to be at the forefront. Someone has to leave us for us to begin to understand how we leave ourselves. Someone has to feel love before they feel loved. We wait until a lightening bolt hits us to allow our hearts to beat. When we recognize the miracle, the amazing magic that is every moment we won't need the big stuff to remind us of what we already know.
You can actually walk around every day and recognize the greatness that exists. You can purposefully live your life and make choices that reflect that purpose. You can acknowledge what each moment in your life brings to you by changing your default to wonder, awe and reverence. When you walk under, around, and inside of those feelings you begin to see what you could not without fireworks going off in some way. When you default to love you can, in a detached non-dramatic way, see the why, learn the lesson and walk on by. You don't need to be hit over the head to recognize the lessons in every breath of life.
So, if you are tired of the drama, if you want to live a seemingly unexciting (in the scandalous way) life, stop inviting drama in. Pay attention to your truth, what is happening for you. Notice how you create your world by having perspective. Stop eating like shit, stop thinking like shit, stop living with shit you haven't addressed. Quit trying to hide behind old stories (you call them beliefs). Stop trying to seem like something you aren't and stop blaming. Ultimately, you must stop judging. When you judge something as bad or a thing you would never do the universe likes to prove you wrong, cue drama. When you see the connectedness of all things all things become yours to learn from and to love.
